Awe! These anal-safe dildo made my Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium are super cute, right?? But can they be cute and functional?
The Smooth 1 Dildo measures 3.5 inches long with a 1.1-inch diameter shaft. This toy is pretty accurate to its name as it’s a simple, smooth dildo that is rounded at the top. No bells and whistles, just the penetration basics. The Cupid 4 Curved Dildo, has a little bit more character at 3.5 inches in length and a 1.25-inch shaft. The shaft is tapered with subtle bumps, and it curves upwards ready to take on any G-Spot or P-Spot. The silicone is 100% body safe silicone, and they both have harness compatible heart shaped bases.
I was drawn to these toys because they seemed like the right size choices for someone who wanted to progress from a small / medium sized butt plug to something a little more hefty (aka me). Personally. I wanted to train my ass to be able to take on more girth. Even though my bottom is used to the nJoy Pure Plug, whenever I try to step it up in size I end up with regrets. Both of these Sh! Anal Dildo’s felt right (in image and in practice) for this task.
Technically the Cupid 4 is bigger than the Smooth 1, but holding them side by side it doesn’t seem that way. I actually decided to try the Cupid 4 first. The Smooth 1, described as a small toy, gives you an instant 1.1-inch diameter when inserted. The Cupid 4, marketed as a mid-sized dildo, let’s you warm up to it’s 1.25 due to it’s tapered form. I wouldn’t even call the Cupid 4 mid-sized, as there are many more dildos on the market that are longer and more wide.
Both the dildos have these cutesy heart-shaped bases that are supposed to prevent the toy from slipping too far in and as much as they may be cute, the hearts take up a lot of space. As a woman with a big rear end, this does not work for me. I can’t get the dildo that far into my ass because the big base stops at my plump cheeks. The only way I can somewhat successfully use the toy is if I crumple the thick base in my hand to create somewhat of a handle to squish in my crack. This is uncomfortable for my hand, and frankly, I shouldn’t have to contort a toy to make it work for me. While the feeling of the toys themselves are great when used, the base issue takes away from the experience. This is a shame because I really like the silicone of these toys, as well as their thickness.
The silicone used for the Cupid 4 and Smooth 1 is really thick with a little bit of squish to it, which I find helps when progressing up butt toy sizes. It’s easy for insertion and provides a comfortable give, all while feeling smooth.
Maybe if you have a smaller tush, this toy could work out for you, but for those big bummed people out there, this probably isn’t the product for you. While the toy is well made, and designed well for those of us looking to step up in our anal experiences, I really wish the base was made to fit into a butt crack happily.
Thanks to Sh! Women’s Erotic Emporium for sending me their dildos in exchange for an honest review!
