Hola! I’d like to introduce you to my new favourite dildo. Well three awesome dildos actually, one of which happens to be my new favourite dildo: The Funkit Toys NoFrilldos! The NoFrilldos were created by independent silicone creator, Kenton, who I reviewed for way back when he was just starting his store. Over the past couple years Kenton has expanded his business who a whole slew of gorgeous dildos, including the great venture of the NoFrilldo’s, which were specifically created to be financially accessible! How freaking great is Kenton?
Since Kenton creates his dildo designs using 3D printed moulds, he was able to streamline three designs to be made for quick production. Taking down production time means that he doesn’t have to charge as much for the products (the dildos are $24 USD each!!!), which he wanted to do to create a quality competitor (and hopefully eventual replacement) for cheap unsafe dildos. Cost is a big factor in why toxic and unsafe toys are still selling really well, and why feminist sex stores still stock them on their shelves. I think this venture from Funkit is so smart and well done, I can’t help but love it.
Not only do I love the idea and the price of these toys, but I adore the execution. The toys are all great, and their designs and colours are thoughtful. The silicone used by Funkit is firm but squishy, a perfect happy medium sure to please any dildo owner. Each dildo has a flared base, making them all both harness and anal compatible. The colours are based on the CMYK colour code and the shapes are named and created to reference the RGB colour code. As a graphic designer, I deeply appreciate the subtle colour code references in the designs. Each one is unique and adorable, but I definitely have a favourite. I’ll do a mini review of each in the order from my least loved to my top toy (which actually happens to follow the RGB acronym).
R
The R dildo (which represents rotation) is a spiral design that resembles a unicorn horn, drill bit, or an oddly shaped ice cream swirl. R is a straight and narrow dildo (well narrow in my vags opinion, it’s 1.25″ thick), with indents to create the twirling pattern down the shaft. Now there’s not really a reason why it’s my least favourite of the bunch, because realistically all of these dildos are great. The size and shape don’t do much for me, so the R dildo gets reached for the least out of the three NoFrillDos.
G
The G is the absolute perfect first dildo. It has a sleek body with a slight curve and friendly end. The curve makes it good for both G-spots and P-spots, and because of its slim width (1.25″ thick), it’s great for any orifices just venturing into penetrative play. I keep thinking it would be a great pegging dildo if any of my partners ever wanted to any anal adventures. My G dildo is in the bright banana yellow colour, which I adore due to its lack of representation within sex toy designs!
B
Okay, so the B dildo; B is my new best friend. With two bumps near the top of the shaft, it creates a B shape from the side, and those bumps are game changers. Although they seem subtle from the outside, the bumps make the world of difference internally. The dildo slides inside me with ease, fitting like a key in its matching lock as it caresses my G-spot with the bumps. Whenever I use this toy it’s only a matter of minutes before I’m effortlessly gushing all over myself and surroundings. The B dildo surprises and pleases me every time I use it. Up until recently, I’ve mainly squirted via clit stimulation, so to own a dildo that will reliably makes me spray when I need to has been a blessing, especially now that I’m making smut videos (and therefore need to squirt on demand sometimes). It’s thicker rounded head (1.36″ thick) is delightful to clench around as I’m coming, and doesn’t necessarily treat my G-spot like a target as G-spot specific toys, like Pure Wand, do). I feel filled up and my G-spot gets massaged as I thrust away. The B dildo has been my most used dildo since I got it back in February.
I’m over the moon that I have these toys in my toybox now!! The NoFrilldo’s are purely good toys in every way possible, and there’s a design for everyone to love. Whether you’re looking for your first dildo to buy or wanting to expand your collection, everyone interested in dildos should own at least one of these unique and cheap toys.
You can purchase the NoFrilldos for $24 USD a pop at Spectrum Boutique, SheVibe or directly from the Funkit Store!
