Disclaimer: Yesterday I learned of instances of ableism & racism happening at the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit, particular examples stemming from 2017, that were not addressed by the Woodhull Board of Directors. While this post details my personal, mainly positive, experiences of the event, my time was affected by my privilege of not encountering ableism or racism as a white & mainly able-bodied person. Woodhull does a lot of good work, but there needs to be changes, like hiring an accessibility board that has event planning experience & more people of color on their staff. Their decisions will be affecting my attendance in the future. Please read this thread & Google Doc by Kirsten of Chronic Sex Chat and this post by Miss Mariam.
Around a month ago, I started my yearly expedition to Washington, DC for the Woodhull Sexual Freedom Summit, a conference focusing on sexuality and sexual freedom as a human right. The Summit is a place for all types of sexuality professionals to come together, like sex workers, sex educators & researchers, doctors & lawyers, activists, etc, to learn from each other. For myself, the weekend is mainly a work weekend, as I attended in representation of four sponsors and utilized having my own hotel room for making some Gwen Adora videos, plus the conference sessions themselves are ways to learn more about sectors & specializations in my own industry. Of course, Woodhull has a social element too, as a whole bunch of awesome people come together for the weekend.
Here’s the highlights of my trip, including a little bit of work, session break downs and play…
I was sponsored by four of my favourite companies to work with to attend Woodhull this year: b-Vibe, Le Wand, The Cowgirl and SUTIL! All of them send me loads of stuff to hand out at the conference, and we’ve been working together throughout the year on blog posts, Instagram posts, live streams and other fun stuff! I love representing my fave companies and, since Woodhull an expensive endeavour (especially with that USD/CAD rate), I couldn’t have done it without them! Thank you b-Vibe, Le Wand, The Cowgirl and SUTIL!
If you’re a company wanting some on-the-ground representation at future events, check out my work with me page!
I managed to attend a bunch of workshops this time around! In years past, I had focused on the social aspect of the con, but this year there was just so many amazing presentations, I made it a goal to get up early and attend as much as I could.
More Than Sexy: Conundrums Faced by Feminists in Porn
The first session I attended was bright and early on Friday morning and was about the intersections of feminist practices and the porn industry! The panel was comprised of industry vets, JetSet Jasmine, Jupiters Slut, and Jessica Drake, who talked about their own experiences navigating their workplaces, including battling stigmas, sexism & racism. The panel was eye opening to me, and showed me the types of conversations that some areas of the industry are having behind the scenes. As someone who has recently started doing amateur porn, hearing that highly regarded people in the industry are pushing for better treatment and diversity was really heartwarming and made me feel hopeful. It was even more affirming to hear that what I do can be regarded as activism. As Jessica Drake said “Being empowered and owning my body is sexy.”

Platinum Grade Sex Toy Myths
Dangerous Lilly and Kenton of Funkit Toys came together to bring some silicone and sex toy material education to Woodhull! Last year there was a session that got a lot of information wrong regarding sex toy materials, so these two decided to set everything straight. I was in charge of Lilly’s livestream so I didn’t get much of a chance to live tweet it, and much of what they had to say was really scientific so I would recommend watching the stream yourself. Kenton even did a live demo of making a dildo! So cool!

Using Sex Toys as a Tool to Heal from Trauma
My good friend, Sarah Brynn Holliday, is an incredibly informed and knowledgeable person, especially in regards to the intersections of sex and trauma. She presented a workshop at Woodhull on sex toys and how they can be healing tools for trauma, and how they can be used to heal from not only sexual trauma, but all sorts of experiences. As someone who experienced a great deal of family and emotional trauma in highschool, I think using sex toys as a way to heal was a concept I was practicing but not something I was aware I was doing. Her session was mind opening for me as an educator who doesn’t know much about tools for survivors, and as a survivor myself.

Safe Sex in the Digital Age
This workshop by Ramona Flour & Kelly Pierce was all about how camming has affected the adult industry for the better, focusing on “ the difference between working in webcam compared to other categories in the adult world, the freedom of working on webcam and how to keep your privacy and online identity safe.” The session was incredibly informative and packed full of useful tips on being successful in the camming industry. Camming is something I’m planning on branching into when I have a solid internet connection, so hearing Ramona and Kelly’s strategies and experiences helped me have a better idea of what to expect.

The Dildorks hosted a spectacular live recording of their podcast, the topic of which was how to socialize with sex bloggers! Their info, as always, is super helpful for people who have internet crushes on sex bloggers. They talk about DM sliding, how to avoid being creepy and the assumptions people make about sex bloggers!

I didn’t get a lot of downtime this Woodhull due to trying to attend as much sessions as possible, running around repping my sponsors, and filming content but I did manage to squeeze in some moments that I look back on fondly…
- Vaping with Carly, Brock and Zoë on the first night!
- Meeting Jessica Drake!
- Having a big dinner with a bunch of blog folx at the hotel restaurant.
- Chatting with Eve and attending the sex worker pool party and (shoutout to Alexa for being my photographer as I modeled my new bathing suit).
- Hanging out with Lola, Zoë, Goddess Cecilia and Rachel at Bubbles & Burlesque
- Brunch with Ramona!
- Instagram coaching with Piph.
- Hanging in the blogger lounge on the last day with Fairy Cake, Alex & Victoria.
Gwen Adora Videos
I had a big, beautiful hotel room to myself! That meant that I may have filmed a couple new videos while I was there…
I’m getting antsy on my plane ride, so I take advantage of being alone in my seat while my neighbour is in the bathroom. I flash my panties, and take some upskirt shots before heading to the bathroom myself, stripping down and bringing out my big boobs and playing with my pussy.
I *finally* have a nice big fantasy dildo to play with. Watch me take the Primal Hardware Clyde for the first time ever. I use a wand vibrator to play with my clit and warm me up before picking up the huge dildo. I rub Clyde against my clit, and jerk him off before slowly start to take him inside of me. I quickly get comfortable with his girth, and eventually take him all the way, pounding him deeper inside of me. I just can’t have enough of that big horse cock, so I ride him and giggle my big ass to the camera. I end up on my back again with the big toy stretching my small pussy open as I play with my wand vibe on my clit. I come and am left used and panting on the bed.
I just got my nails done and need someone to worship my hands… You’ll be transfixed by my long fingernails as they scratch, tap and tickle the surface of the desk. You’ll even get to see them puncture and play with my big boobs in my red bodysuit.
Gwen Adora jumps in the shower to clean up after a long day. As she rinses and rubs herself in the hot shower, she begins to turn herself on and touch herself. She remembers she has dildo suction cupped to the wall and starts jerking it off as the water runs over her. Gwen eventually leans over to suck the dildo, and then she lubes it up to grind onto. She tries the realistic dildo on a bunch of different positions in the shower and moans along the way.
My soft domme side comes out to play, and I’m ready for you to worship my BBW feet. I let you start with my barefeet and tease you for awhile while you massage my webbed toes and souls, making your goddess proud. Eventually I put on my pantyhose tights for you so you can worship me in my cute lingerie. Then I add my Pleasers highheels, and taunt you for awhile before letting you cum because you were SO good at worshipping me.
Thanks so much for following me on my journey to the Summit this year! Woodhull SFS is an incredibly valuable conference for multiple reasons, but they need to focus on improving accessibility and working with marginalized communities to choose their workshops, which is one of the reasons why I’m not currently planning on attending next year. Woodhull: you need to do better.
